Check out the Polaris General Ice Cream Truck built by Draco.ย
The Polaris General line of UTVs was born in 2016 as a way to bridge the gap between utility and sport models. It quickly became popular with outdoor adventurers, hunters and landowners. Polaris aimed for a spot between โdo-it-all capabilityโ with comfort and style, and they hit the mark.ย

The Polaris General line features the 999cc ProStar four-stroke engine that produces 100 reliable horsepower and yet has that punch, with 65-foot-pounds of torque that UTV drivers want from their powerplant. That engine is hooked up to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with On-Demand AWD/2WD with VersaTrac Turf Mode. The suspension features 14-inches of wheel travel through dual A-Arms and Walker Evans Velocity Shocks. The unit rides on 32-inch Fuel Dripper Tires wrapped around Metal FX OffRoad Delta Wheels. One could say that the General can do anything, even be an ice cream truck.ย
Polaris likes to attend events that their loyal customers attend like the popular UTV Takeover event in Coos Bay, Oregon. They provide rides in the newest line up of vehicles and wanted to support the crowds at these events with ice cream. So, teaming up with Draco UTV the two manufacturers set out to convert a 2021 General into an ice cream truck, because handing out melted ice cream is not considered taking care of your existing customers and luring others to your brand. But how can this be done?ย

Draco took the opportunity to showcase its new utility bed that the brand co-developed with Stryker Manufacturing and added Ultra Deck Flooring for durability. Then three Dometic brand freezers were installed in the utility bed to keep the ice cream treats frozen. These are powered by two generators sourced by Polaris. The bed and front bodywork was then painted in a two-tone mint green and retro white paint scheme. Draco also added their custom front bumper to the build as well as their factory designed rollcage for added protection.ย
The driver and rider sit in custom covered PRP Seats held securely with PRP seat belts. They can crank their tunes on a Rockford Fosgate Sound System. In the night the General can find its way thanks to nine forward facing KC HiLites units complete with custom ice cream cone light covers. Other lights added on the sides and rear of the vehicle are supported by GoPower! Lithium batteries and solar panels.
