The 2027 Polaris RZR Pro R Boost brings turbocharged power to Polaris’ flagship sport UTV with a 2.0-liter ProStar Fury Turbo engine producing 275 horsepower. But there is more going on here than simply adding boost to the existing Pro R. Polaris upgraded the clutching, cooling system, transmission, front drive system, half shafts and suspension technology to create a machine designed around the additional power.
With a starting price of $49,999 and dealer shipments expected to begin in November 2026, the RZR Pro R Boost sits at the very top of Polaris’ performance lineup. It will be offered in two- and four-seat configurations with Ultimate and Ultra trim levels.

2027 POLARIS RZR PRO R BOOST ENGINE AND 275 HORSEPOWER
The biggest story is obviously what’s behind the seats. The 2027 Polaris RZR Pro R Boost is powered by a turbocharged version of the ProStar Fury 2.0-liter engine producing 275 horsepower.
Polaris says the new powertrain also delivers increased torque, quicker acceleration and immediate throttle response, with power designed to remain consistent throughout the RPM range.
Another important advantage of the turbocharged engine is its ability to maintain performance as elevation increases. Polaris says the new turbo design helps the RZR Pro R Boost maintain peak power at elevations up to 10,000 feet.
That could be a significant benefit for riders who regularly head into the mountains. Naturally aspirated engines lose power as elevation increases, while a turbocharged engine can compensate for the thinner air and maintain more consistent performance.
For anyone focused strictly on the numbers, though, 275 horsepower is going to be difficult to ignore.

2027 POLARIS RZR PRO R BOOST CLUTCHING AND COOLING
Making 275 horsepower is only part of the equation. Polaris also had to build the supporting systems to deal with the additional power and heat.
The 2027 Polaris RZR Pro R Boost receives an all-new high-capacity clutching system with a larger clutch design, increased airflow and additional cooling fins. Polaris says the changes help reduce clutch temperatures and extend belt life during demanding driving.
That will be an area we’re particularly interested in once these machines get into the hands of owners. High horsepower and heavy vehicles can put a tremendous amount of stress on a CVT and belt, especially during long days of hard desert driving.
Cooling has also been significantly upgraded.
The RZR Pro R Boost uses a new dual-radiator cooling architecture designed to improve cooling for the engine, turbo and transmission. Keeping all three systems within their intended operating temperatures will be critical when drivers begin putting the Boost’s 275 horsepower to work in hot and demanding conditions.

2027 POLARIS RZR PRO R BOOST DRIVETRAIN UPGRADES
Polaris didn’t simply bolt a turbo onto the Pro R and leave the rest of the drivetrain alone.
A stronger front drive system and upgraded transmission are designed to more efficiently transfer the additional power to the ground. Polaris also reinforced other driveline components, including stronger half shafts engineered to handle the increased loads generated by the turbocharged engine.
Updated engine calibration and revised CVT tuning are designed to improve responsiveness and power delivery, while new engine isolators help reduce noise and vibration.
These aren’t necessarily the features that will grab attention like a 275-horsepower figure, but they’re some of the most important changes to the RZR Pro R Boost.
Horsepower isn’t very useful if the components downstream can’t reliably handle it.

2027 POLARIS RZR PRO R BOOST ULTIMATE
The 2027 Polaris RZR Pro R Boost Ultimate comes equipped with desert-tuned DYNAMIX suspension and adds new G-out protection and rear bump control features.
DYNAMIX electronically adjusts the suspension to changing conditions, helping control the chassis as speeds and terrain change. The new programming is aimed at improving control during large suspension compressions and other demanding high-speed situations.
Considering the speeds a 275-horsepower RZR should be capable of reaching, suspension and chassis control are going to be every bit as important as acceleration.
The Ultimate will be available in both two- and four-passenger configurations.

2027 POLARIS RZR PRO R BOOST ULTRA
For buyers looking for the highest-spec version, Polaris will also offer the 2027 Polaris RZR Pro R Boost Ultra.
The Ultra receives DYNAMIX DVS suspension with active sway bar links capable of making adjustments up to 200 times per second. The system is designed to continually adjust chassis behavior based on vehicle movement and terrain.
In theory, that gives Polaris the ability to provide greater roll control when it’s needed while allowing more suspension independence when conditions call for it.
We’ll be particularly interested to see how noticeable the active sway bar system is from behind the wheel and how it changes the Pro R’s behavior through fast corners and rough terrain.
Ultra models also receive a carbon-fiber hood and seat bezels, MPI GT steering wheel, 32-inch BFGoodrich tires and exclusive paint and graphics.
Like the Ultimate, the Ultra will be offered as both a two- and four-seater.
2027 Polaris RZR PRO R Boost
2027 POLARIS RZR PRO R BOOST TECHNOLOGY
Polaris is also expanding the technology available in the new RZR Pro R Boost, including Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Apple CarPlay should make it easier for iPhone users to access compatible navigation, music and communication functions through the vehicle’s display without relying entirely on a separate phone mount.
Polaris will also offer a large selection of accessories for the Boost, giving owners plenty of opportunities to configure the machine for desert riding, recreation or other uses.

HOW MUCH IS THE 2027 POLARIS RZR PRO R BOOST?
The 2027 Polaris RZR Pro R Boost starts at $49,999 in the United States.
Pricing will vary depending on whether buyers choose the two- or four-passenger configuration and Ultimate or Ultra trim.
A starting price just under $50,000 puts the Boost firmly into premium territory, but this is also the new flagship of the Polaris RZR lineup.
Buyers aren’t simply paying for more horsepower. Polaris has made changes throughout the powertrain, drivetrain, cooling and suspension systems to support the additional performance.

WHEN WILL THE 2027 POLARIS RZR PRO R BOOST BE AVAILABLE?
Polaris says the 2027 RZR Pro R Boost will begin shipping to dealers in November 2026.
That means there is still some time before we begin seeing production machines in the wild and find out what 275 horsepower feels like in real-world conditions.
On paper, though, this is a major step for the RZR platform.
The original RZR helped establish the sport side-by-side category back in 2007, and the Pro R later pushed Polaris into the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder era. The RZR Pro R Boost takes the next logical step by adding turbocharging and building the supporting systems around the resulting 275 horsepower.
The horsepower number will get most of the attention, but we’re equally interested in the less glamorous changes. The larger clutch, dual-radiator cooling system, reinforced drivetrain and suspension updates will ultimately determine how well the RZR Pro R Boost puts that power to use.
We’ll know a lot more once we get behind the wheel.
