Robby Gordon Unveils 2026 Speed UTV Models at Sand Sports Super Show.

Robby Gordon and his elite crew at Speed UTV are not ones to let the grass grow under their feet. While his and other UTV manufacturers were supporting their customers at various sand dune takeovers all summer, new models were undergoing final tests in the monumental dunes of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia.
The first evening of the Sand Sports Show saw the gates open and the crowds filtered into the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California. An impressive number of people made a beeline to the Speed UTV display to check out the new models. It had a festival atmosphere about it with prospective buyers milling about the brightly colored UTVs.
Most were interested in the rumored new V-8 model but was not there yet. Gordon, ever the showman, announced that new V-8 powered model would be brought to the show by about 8:00 that night. While the V-8 was very interesting, the other new models were attention grabbing.

The Bambino
The Speed UTV is no longer the plaything of the adult. Kids can now drive their own Speed UTV, albeit a scaled down version compared to their parents unit.
Coming in at an affordable price point of $6,999, the two seat unit comes with a husky cage that is beefy enough to keep the kids safe but is designed to be tall enough so that an adult can ride along and also be safe.
The Bambino features a 250cc single cylinder, overhead cam engine. The engine is connected to an automatic two-speed automatic CVT. The Bambino is only available in two-wheel drive. Options include high-brightness LED side mirrors, a 30-inch roof mounted 100-watt light bar, an LED lighted whip/flag and an on-board winch.

El Diablo LE Rock Edition
We all know that Speed UTVs rock, but now this specially outfitted model handles the rocks. With the wild popularity of the King of the Hammers races every January in the Johnson Valley of Southern California, more and more people are exploring and looking to tame rocky trails never before considered traversable.
Gordon and his engineers took the capable El Diablo and reimagined it for rock duty. It started with Robby Gordon Black Beadlock Wheels to keep the tires mounted no matter what angles the rocks were forcing the tires into. A full skid plate, work/rock lights, a Speed CO2 powered jack is added to the spare tire mount, and stronger steering components were designed.
This package starts at $48,999.

The Sand Edition
Several models are able to outfitted for sand duty. After all, the majority of UTVs are used in sand dunes. While all models of Speed UTVs are capable of dune running, there are new additions to these Bandit, El Jefe and El Diablo models that make it even more capable.
Each Sand Edition starts with a Speed Hot Weather Performance Package and a Speed Performance CVT, designed and tested by KWI. Sand edition cars come with 35-inch sand tires, smooth front and paddled rears. These are mounted on four satin black contrast 15X10 wheels.
Two LED lighted whip flags announce your presence on the sand day or night. A 50-inch light bar and side mirror mounted driving lights illuminate your way on those cool evenings on the sand.

The V-8
A massive crowd eagerly awaited the arrival of the V-8 and when it did come there was no stopping the crowd from gathering around the extra-large sized Speed UTV reminiscent of Charles Lindbergh arriving in Paris with the Spirit of St Louis in 1926.
The heart of the beast is a Chevrolet LSX engine. The LSX is a variant of the LS series of engines, specifically engineered for high performance applications. The crate version of the 454 cubic inch engine features 627 horsepower and 586 foot-pounds of torque. But, come on, this is Robby Gordon we are talking about. Does that sound like a suitable amount of horsepower for him?
Even though it was tough to see everything under the blanket of humans crawling over the chassis, there was obviously some forced induction going on and we know the LSX can handle up to 15 psi of boost. That would put the horsepower rating well above the crate version.
The unveiling was exciting to be sure, but the availability of exact performance numbers was hard to come by. With any luck we can update exact numbers within 24 hours.
