The High Performance Sport UTV market is hotter than Las Vegas in August! While Kawasaki has seemingly been late to the game with their sport UTV offering, we knew they’ve been doing their homework and had something up their sleeve. When they officially announced they’d be releasing the news on 10/7/19, we’ve been chomping at the bit waiting for all of the details. Evidently so was everyone else, because as the clock struck 12pm eastern time, the Kawasaki website crashed…..likely from all the traffic headed that way. Here are the 2020 Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000 Best Features! For a full breakdown on the all-new High Performance UTV click HERE.

Now that Kawasaki has jumped into the High Performance UTV Market with their all-new 2020 Teryx KRX 1000, here are a few of our initial impressions and what we’re most stoked about.
1000cc parallel twin cylinder engine: We don’t exactly know all of the specifics yet, but this is clearly not the same engine that they use in the current Teryx (a V twin) and certainly not the triple they use in the Mule line. It will no doubt be badass, and we expect it will be similar to the Honda Talon powerplant.
Suspension: Loaded with Fox 2.5 Podium shocks, a dual a-arm front suspension and a 4 link trailing arm out back, the KRX1000 will deliver 18.6” of travel up front and over 21” in the rear!
14.4” Ground Clearance: UTV guys like plenty of clearance, and Kawasaki gave them plenty of it stock!
31” Maxxis Carnivore tires: The big tire UTV days are here to stay! There’s little doubt that manufacturers are all going to be going this route in the future!
CVT with Centrifugal Clutch: The CVT is nothing new in this category, but the centrifugal clutch is the key ingredient in this setup. The belt is much more protected with this type of setup rather than just a typical CVT.
99” wheelbase: The long 99” wheelbase will make the KRX1000 feel more stable due to it being nearly 10” longer than many of the competitors!
Factory Beadlock Wheels: With this type of performance, a stock beadlock is exactly what the doctor ordered!
Speed Sensitive EPS: Electric Power Steering is a no-brainer. But…..the speed sensitive steering allows the KRX to have more assist at slower speeds, with less assist to keep it from getting “twitchy” at higher speeds!
To say we’re STOKED to get our hands on one of these 2020 Kawasaki KRX 1000’s is an understatement. The big horsepower, long-travel, big tire UTV game just got stronger with the addition of this impressive new offering. The best thing about competition is it drives the other manufacturers to continue to innovate. Not only will the KRX1000 be a good addition to the industry, it will force the competition to keep improving!
