The cars/ATV/UTV/motorcycles start at one or two-minute intervals and race at top speed against the clock over competition stages. Connecting the stages are “transits” ”on roads where cars must obey the posted speed limits. The teams achieving the fastest combined times on the competition stages win. Stages can combine into some 100 miles in a two-day rally.
With the purchase of an Idaho “restricted use” licence plate for $15 you can legally compete in this event. You must have a valid drivers licence. Boise County sheriff Department confirms that in daylight hours no lights are required for the event on the county roads.
